Training partners · Licence
The terms a training organization agrees to before it may describe itself as an IICTP Authorized Training Partner, and the rules for using the partner badge.
This is the licence between the International Insignia of Certified Technical Practitioners (“IICTP”, “we”, “us”) and the training organization named in the Order Form (“Partner”, “you”). Together with the Order Form (Schedule A) and the Mark and Badge Rules (Schedule B) it is the “Agreement”.
It takes effect on the date both parties have signed the Order Form, and not before. Applying, receiving a reference number or being in correspondence with us does not make you a partner and gives you no licence.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Credential | An IICTP certification, such as ATP®, CTP®, PgTP® or PfTP® or a specialized credential, as listed in the Order Form. |
| TPBOK™ | The Technical Practitioner Body of Knowledge, the syllabus every IICTP exam is drawn from. |
| Training | A course, workshop, bootcamp or programme the Partner delivers to prepare people for a Credential. |
| Learner | A person who takes the Partner’s Training. |
| Licensed Marks | The designation “IICTP Authorized Training Partner”, the Authorized Training Partner badge, and the Credential names, each used as Schedule B allows. |
| Exam Materials | Exam questions, answer keys, item banks, scoring rules and anything else IICTP uses to assess candidates. |
| Order Form | The signed form in Schedule A that identifies the Partner and sets the term, territory, Credentials, fees and governing law. |
From the start date, and for the term in the Order Form, we give you a licence that is:
Everything not granted here stays with IICTP. The licence is a permission to describe yourself in a particular way. It is not an accreditation by any accreditation body, and you must not say or imply that it is.
IICTP’s exams are trusted because the people who sell Training do not mark or influence the exam. You therefore agree that you will not:
You must tell us if you learn that Exam Materials have been exposed. IICTP does not sell training itself, and it will not give a Partner’s Learners any advantage in the exam.
You may use the Licensed Marks only as Schedule B allows. Downloading a badge file from our website does not give you the right to show it: that right starts when this Agreement starts and ends when it ends. The goodwill from your use belongs to IICTP.
You may not register or use any IICTP name or mark, or anything confusingly similar, in a company name, product name, domain name or social-media handle.
You own the Training materials you create. We own the TPBOK™, the exam blueprints, Exam Materials and our site content. You may quote and cite the TPBOK™ to teach it and may link to our pages. You may not reproduce or republish it, or sell a copy of it, without our written permission.
Do not describe your Training as “official IICTP courseware” or “IICTP-approved” unless we have reviewed that specific course and said so in writing.
Any fee payable to IICTP, and when it is due, is stated in the Order Form. If the Order Form states none, none is payable. Fees are stated without tax unless the Order Form says otherwise. We do not take payment through the application form.
Exam fees paid by candidates go to IICTP under the certification agreement, not under this one. We do not pay or receive commission on Training unless the Order Form says so.
You and IICTP each decide how and why you use the personal data you hold, and each is responsible for that data under the law that applies to it. You are the controller of your Learners’ data. We are the controller of candidate and credential data.
We will use the contact and business details you give us to run the programme, to list you in the directory, and to contact you. Do not send us Learner data unless the Learner has agreed or a law allows it. Our Privacy Policy describes what we do with it.
Each of us keeps the other’s non-public information confidential and uses it only for this Agreement. This does not cover information that is public, already known to the receiver, or required to be disclosed by law. Proposed syllabus changes and Exam Materials are confidential until we publish them.
The Agreement runs for the term in the Order Form. We review each partner at least once a year against Sections 4 and 5 and Schedule B. We renew the Agreement in writing, or it ends at the end of the term.
Nothing here makes either of us the other’s agent, employee, partner in the legal sense, or franchisee. You have no authority to bind IICTP.
One Order Form is completed for each Partner. This is the form we will send; nothing in it is agreed until both parties sign.

These rules say how a Partner may show that it is an IICTP Authorized Training Partner. They add to Trademark and Brand Use, which covers everyone else.
| Rule | What it means |
|---|---|
| The only badge you may use | The Authorized Training Partner badge as supplied, in SVG or PNG. Do not redraw, recolour, crop, rotate, stretch, add shadows or effects, animate it, or put it inside another logo. |
| Size and space | At least 96 px (25 mm) wide, with clear space around it equal to one tenth of its width. Never smaller than where its text can still be read. |
| What it may sit beside | Your own training pages, course pages, brochures, proposals and email signatures for the organization. It may not go on a Learner’s certificate, a person’s profile or signature, or beside a person’s name. |
| Link to your listing | Where it appears online, link it to your entry in the IICTP partner directory so anyone can check it is real. |
| The sentence to use | Write: “[Organization name] is an IICTP Authorized Training Partner.” You may add the Credentials you are listed for. |
| Courses | Describe a course factually, for example “prepares you for the IICTP CTP® exam”. Do not call it “IICTP-approved”, “official” or “accredited” unless we have reviewed that course and said so in writing. |
| No guarantee | Do not put the badge next to a promise of a pass, a score, a job or a salary. |
| Credential badges are different | Learners receive Credential badges from IICTP when they pass. Never issue, imitate or hand out a Credential badge or a certificate that looks like one. |
| Names and marks | Do not use IICTP, TPBOK™ or any Credential mark in your company, product, domain or handle. Credential names are written exactly, with their symbol. |
| When it ends | Remove the badge and every partnership claim within 14 days of the Agreement ending or being suspended. |
| Reporting misuse | Tell brand@iictp.org if you see anyone misuse the badge, including another partner. We may ask for corrections, report the use to the platform, or end a licence. |
