Impartiality and conduct
Anyone who applies, sits an exam or holds an IICTP credential is judged against the same published rules. Here is what we commit to, and how to report something that does not look right.
Impartiality statement
IICTP will act impartially toward every applicant, candidate and credential holder, and will keep the interests of those who sell preparation separate from those who decide results.
Everyone sitting a credential faces the same exam and the same published pass mark, whatever their country, employer, training provider or membership status. Pass marks are listed on the exam facts page.
The people who set the standard, the people who run the exam and the people who sell preparation are kept separate.
Organizations that sell preparation have no say in who passes, and IICTP does not guarantee a pass rate to anyone.
People who write or review exam questions declare any link to a training provider, and do not review questions for a provider they are linked to.
Reporting a concern
Each address goes to one desk. Say what you saw, when, and which credential or candidate reference it concerns. Attach evidence if you have it.

After you report
Every report follows the same steps.
Reports are handled in confidence, and the reporter is not named without consent unless the law requires it.
IICTP will not take action against a holder for reporting in good faith.
A suspected breach is screened, then reviewed by someone with no link to the case. You are told what is alleged and have 14 days to respond before a decision. Sanctions are: the result is voided, a ban from IICTP exams of up to 3 years, or revocation of a credential.
A first review, an independent inquiry, a chance for the person concerned to respond, then a decision and a record. The four stages are on the Ethics page.
IICTP is an independent credential and is not ISO/IEC 17024 accredited.
